Official trailer for the documentary Into Eternity, about Finland's Onkalo repository, built to store high-level nuclear waste safely for 100,000 years. It raises how to warn and communicate with far-future humans.
Recommended as a thought-provoking film on deep-time nuclear waste storage, though one commenter found it unenlightening.
“Highly recommended.”

Finland is building nuclear waste storage facility which is planned to last for 100.000 years. There are quite few interesting design decisions to be made taking this lifespan in to account, for example if current civilization will be wiped out, what symbols you should put on a door to discourage someone in future to opening the door. Sounds like the Onkalo nuclear waste repository in Finland. There's a documentary about it where they talk a bit about the difficulties of marking the site in a way that won't just pique someone's curiosity after it's been forgotten. ▶ this video Unfortunately it's not a very good, or enlightening, documentary. Has its moments though.
