A short clip of a frog levitating inside a roughly 10 tesla magnetic coil, demonstrating diamagnetism.

Why Hacker News recommends it

Cited as the canonical eye-catching demo of diamagnetic levitation, and sometimes used as a joke in magnet threads.

If you think that's cool you should have a look at this frog: ▶ this video The physics behind this are explained here: [link]

RetricMay 2013Joke

I would point out these are rather subjective measurements. In that a person is physically looking though a microscope and making a judgement call. Worse, sperm are highly impacted by temperature and negative studies get little attention and often don't get published. Why such attention? Well in most cases the radiation needs to go through your freaking leg which if your cells are absorbing this em radiation should act as significant shielding for some vary weak radiation. Compare this to this plant experiment which is blatantly obvious. PS: And just for fun, compare with the unharmed levitating frogs. ▶ this video

Thanks for that, I suspect infection is still probably a more serious risk overall, but a 4+T MRI does give me pause. PS: Then again at 10T you get to fly so it may still be worth the risk. ▶ this video ;-)
